Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Hits Back at Uddhav Thackeray
Recently, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde responded to accusations made by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray regarding the party’s symbol, the bow and arrow. Shinde stated that Thackeray and his camp will soon realize their mistake of straying from the ideas of the late Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray.
During the Shiv Sankalp Melava in Aurangabad, Uddhav Thackeray criticized Shinde’s camp, claiming that they had ‘stolen’ the Shiv Sena symbol, while he was proud to have won using the Mashal symbol, inspired by Balasaheb’s teachings.
Thackeray also denounced the schemes announced by the Mahayuti government, which includes BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde), and NCP (Ajit Pawar), as tactics to sway voters ahead of the upcoming state elections in October.
In response, Eknath Shinde fired back at Thackeray, questioning his continuous accusations and highlighting the support their camp had received in recent elections. Shinde emphasized that voters were turning towards them due to Thackeray’s departure from Balasaheb Thackeray’s ideologies.
Shinde confidently stated, “The people have shown their support by voting for us in significant numbers. The true essence of Shiv Sena lies with us, and this will be evident in the upcoming assembly polls.”
Shinde also warned that Thackeray’s camp will face consequences for diverging from the principles of the late Shiv Sena supremo and predicted a decline in their assembly seats.
Lastly, Shinde took a dig at Thackeray, suggesting that he was pleased to see Thackeray finally engaging with farmers after his previous lack of outreach.
As the political tension mounts, voters in Maharashtra eagerly anticipate comparing the accomplishments of the MVA and the Mahayuti in the upcoming assembly elections. It will be a test of leadership, policies, and commitment to the people of Maharashtra.
