Exciting news for tech enthusiasts! Google is all set to reveal its highly-anticipated next-generation foldable device, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, on August 13 at the annual Made by Google event. Thanks to a leaked promotional video shared by Android Headlines, we get a sneak peek into the cutting-edge features of this upcoming device.
The leaked 37-second video provides a close-up look at the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, showcasing its sleek new design and advanced features. Available in black and off-white (possibly named obsidian and porcelain), this foldable device features an expanded folding screen that unfolds completely flat thanks to a redesigned hinge mechanism, reminiscent of the OnePlus Open.
Anticipated to introduce AI-driven capabilities such as Add Me, Best Take, Circle to Search, Gemini, and Magic Editor, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to sport a 6.3-inch cover screen and an 8-inch main inner display with 16GB of RAM. Powered by Google’s new Tensor G4 chip, the device is rumored to come with a triple rear camera setup (48MP primary sensor, 10.5MP secondary sensor, 10.8MP tertiary sensor) and a 10MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Moreover, it is expected to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Pixel Fold.
The global launch event is slated for August 13, with the Indian market launch following on August 14. Recent reports suggest that the Pixel 9 series may feature the energy-efficient Exynos Modem 5400 developed by Samsung’s LSI division, promising improved battery performance compared to its predecessor.
