Exciting news for WhatsApp users! The popular messaging platform is getting ready to introduce a new customizable chat theme feature that will soon be available on both Android and iOS devices. According to WABetainfo, this new update aims to elevate the messaging experience by giving users more control over the visual interface, allowing them to personalize their chat bubbles with their favorite colors.
The feature was first discovered in the WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.11.10.70 and later in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.17.19. The leaked screenshot reveals that WhatsApp is testing a new section where users can choose their preferred default chat theme. While the Chat Themes preview is not available yet, it is speculated that there will be at least 10 chat themes to choose from initially.
How will the new chat theme feature work?
Unlike before, where users could only change their chat background, with this new update, selecting a new color as the default chat theme will automatically adjust the wallpaper and bubble colors accordingly. Additionally, in the future, there will be a manual override option for specific chats, giving users the flexibility to choose different colors for specific chat bubbles and wallpapers.
