As we approach August 2024, it is essential for investors and traders to be aware of the stock market holidays. In August, the Indian stock markets will be closed for a total of 10 days, including weekends. Both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed for the entirety of these 10 days.

Looking ahead to the business week of July 29 to August 2, investors can anticipate the Ola Electric IPO, Akums Drug IPO new issue, and two other potential listings.

Moreover, UltraTech Cements has received approval to acquire a 32.72 per cent stake in India Cements. The acquisition, valued at ₹3,954 crore at ₹390 per share, will be made from the promoters and their associates, as disclosed in a company filing on the BSE website.
