At the annual Moms for Liberty event in Washington, DC, former President Donald Trump entertained the crowd by impersonating Tesla CEO Elon Musk discussing rocket development. His portrayal of Musk drew laughter as he mimicked the tech mogul’s visionary approach to engineering, emphasizing the intricate details of space travel technology.
Trump jokingly said, “With Elon, it’s like, ‘Well, you know, I’m working on a new stainless steel hub that will help us navigate around the engines much faster, because there’s an issue with the type of engine going into space nowadays.'” He continued, “‘But in the end, I think we can have a good hookup because of the new foils that are coming up.'”
Reflecting on Musk’s genius, Trump added, “I’m hearing everything that’s going through his mind. But he’s like, he’s a super genius guy.”
Trump also mentioned that Musk had given him a “tremendous endorsement” and described him as “a very different kind of guy” who thinks as he speaks. The former president expressed his admiration for Musk’s electric car while acknowledging the challenges of electric vehicles in terms of range and cost.
Additionally, Trump teased an upcoming interview with the Tesla CEO following a previous one conducted in mid-August. He also took a swipe at Vice President Kamala Harris during the event, referring to her as a “defective person” and criticizing her limited media presence as a sign of inadequacy.
