After bidding farewell to the international cricket arena, former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has taken a new stride in his career by joining the Legends League Cricket (LLC) on Monday. The 38-year-old left-handed batsman, who recently announced his retirement, is now gearing up to participate in T20 competitions beyond the Indian Premier League.
In a recent statement, Dhawan expressed his enthusiasm for continuing to play the game he loves, saying, “My body is still in great condition to meet the challenges of cricket. Even though I’ve decided to step back, cricket will always be a part of me. I’m looking forward to reuniting with my fellow cricketers and entertaining my fans as we create new memories together.”
With an impressive career that includes scoring 12,286 runs for India across 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is, Dhawan’s entry into the LLC has generated significant interest among cricket enthusiasts.
