Welcome Kuldeep Yadav’s Visit to Melbourne Cricket Ground
India spinner Kuldeep Yadav, currently on a brief family vacation in Melbourne, had a memorable visit to the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) recently. The talented spinner took some time out to visit the stadium and posed for a photo outside with the statue of his idol, the legendary Shane Warne.
Reflecting on the experience, Kuldeep shared, “Shane Warne has always been my idol, and I have a special connection with him. Thinking about Warnie still brings up strong emotions for me – it’s like losing a family member.”
Ahead of the highly-anticipated five-match Test series against Australia later in the year, Kuldeep is thrilled about the epic cricket showdown between the two cricketing powerhouses.
Expressing his excitement, Kuldeep said, “Being here at Cricket Australia’s headquarters and the iconic MCG is amazing. I can’t wait for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, and we are expecting a thrilling contest between Australia and India this year.”
He also expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of Indian cricket fans. Kuldeep stated, “Indian cricket fans always stand by the team no matter where we play, and I am confident they will turn out in large numbers for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, especially during the Boxing Day Test.”
During his time in Melbourne, Kuldeep also had a tour of Cricket Australia’s headquarters. CEO of Cricket Australia, Nick Hockley, warmly welcomed him and provided an overview of the Australian summer and the upcoming tours of India and Pakistan.
The much-anticipated first Test match between Australia and India will commence on November 22 at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
