Himachal Pradesh CM’s Wife Makes Historic Victory in By-Polls

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed his delight over his wife Kamlesh Thakur’s remarkable win in the crucial by-polls held recently. The victory in the Dehra assembly constituency, after 25 years, was described as ‘historic’ by the CM.

Sukhu emphasized that the Congress triumphed over the BJP due to the support of the people, defeating money power with people power. He condemned the political tactics employed by the BJP, stating that the Himachal residents responded with a strong message against such strategies.

In his criticism towards the three independent MLAs who resigned earlier, Sukhu stated, “The three independent MLAs had no valid reason to resign. Their actions were pointless, and even they have learned a lesson from this. This victory belongs to the people.”

Sukhu highlighted the awareness and vigilance of the people, making it clear that any attempts at poaching will not be tolerated in the state. The by-polls for three assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh – Dehra, Hamirpur, and Nalagarh – witnessed a significant victory for the Congress.
