Sharad Pawar Predicts MVA Victory in Maharashtra Assembly Elections
With the Maharashtra assembly elections just three months away, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar has confidently predicted that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) could secure over 225 seats in the upcoming polls.
The elections for the 288-seat Maharashtra assembly are expected to take place in October, setting the stage for a high-stakes political showdown in the state.
Addressing a gathering where former MLA Sudhakarrao Bhalerao of Udgir and other colleagues joined the party, Pawar expressed his belief that Maharashtra is currently being governed by the wrong people. He emphasized that the MVA alliance, consisting of Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena, has the potential to win a majority of the seats.
Reflecting on past electoral performances, Pawar highlighted the remarkable success of opposition MPs from Maharashtra in the recent Lok Sabha elections. He cited the growing momentum for change and urged party members to work towards securing a decisive victory in the upcoming assembly polls.
Pawar also called on NCP (SP) leaders and workers to unite and strive towards making Maharashtra the most influential state in the country, signaling a strong commitment to enhancing the party’s presence and impact in the region.
As the political landscape heats up, both the Maha Vikas Aghadi and Mahayuti alliances have confirmed their intention to contest the upcoming assembly polls in collaboration. Discussions on seat-sharing arrangements and strategic alliances are currently underway, with leaders from both camps set to meet after the legislative council polls to finalize their strategies.
Amidst talks of alliance dynamics and seat allocations, the stage is set for a fiercely contested election in Maharashtra, with all parties gearing up to secure a decisive mandate from the voters.
